About
Created in 2007 as Bento Studios, Otter Mage Designs is a woman-owned and operated, conservation-conscious small art studio based in Jacksonville, Florida. Otter Mage Designs strives to work with other woman-owned, eco-friendly businesses based in North America, Europe, and Japan. Quality and conservation are of the highest importance to Jade, the owner of Otter Mage Designs. She takes the time to ensure that the art produced, and the products used to produce it, are high quality and are environmentally friendly, when that option is available.
Jade is well-known throughout the southeastern United States convention circuit, exhibiting at some of the largest conventions in the country, including Megacon, MomoCon, Florida Supercon, A-Kon, and Anime Matsuri. 2022 marks the first year that Jade will travel to the west coast to participate in Anime Expo, one of the world’s largest anime conventions! At conventions, Jade sells limited fan art prints and her original manga series, Game Over, which currently has SEVEN books released! She also sells an assortment of wearable and useable art including biodegradable recycled acrylic keychains, buttons, canvas totes, and more! All with her original designs.
In 2022, Jade debuted her new web comic series, Punni Pengi on April 25 for World Penguin Day! It’s the tale of a quippy critter (a penguin!) who travels the world to make puns with other animals. They aren’t very amused. New episodes are posted every Wednesday on WebToons and you can get early access to episodes by joining Jade’s Bevy on Patreon!
