That was fun! Can we do it again?

After being sequestered for what felt like an eternity because of a bad relationship plus living in the middle of nowhere and then COVID, I finally got to go out! Still wore my mask, but I got to go out!

I was so nervous about participating in the GAAM Drink and Draw event because it’s been so long since I’ve gotten the opportunity to do anything with the GAAM community. But it was awesome! Everyone was super nice and there were so many incredible artists there. Even though I have so much (admittedly too much) on my plate right now, I’m so glad that I went. I’m so glad that people felt comfortable talking to me and approaching me when I was so nervous about getting up from my spot and walking the room to meet others.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to join the GAAM family now that I’m back in Jacksonville. Thank you for the opportunity. Thank you for helping me start to realize how much I needed to socialize again.

Hoping there will be more events like this in my future and that the people I met there last night will be receptive to growing a friendship with me.
