Otters
Otters are Jade’s favorite animal. She also likes to play Black Mages in Final Fantasy. Therefore, she’s Jade the Otter Mage on Twitch. Her community names and emotes are usually otter themed too.
Small Clawed Asian River Otters are her favorite.
Pay the Taiga Cheese Tax
Whenever cheese packs are opened, Taiga can hear them. She demands that the cheese be shared with her. Therefore, anyone consuming cheese must pay the Taiga Cheese Tax.
Bees
1999 Bees of Summer - Derived from JJBA’s Part 4’s opening theme, “Breakdown” and the lyric “1999 Bizarre Summer” sounding like “1999 bees of summer” while Jade was having bee encounters around the same time.
Tennessee Bees - An existential experience Jade had in Tennessee while travelling to conventions. Swarms of bees were blocking the entrance to a gas station. Only Jade seemed aware of them.
Jade & Bugs
Late one night, Jade just wanted to finish an art. As she was drawing, a cockroach dropped from the ceiling, landing with a “pat” on her printer. Screaming, Jade leapt from her chair, threw her headset and tablet, and proceeded to cry hysterically off camera before timidly approaching the stream to put up her away message, but never muted her microphone. She fought against the roach valliantly, but it took over an hour of bug sprays and expert-level broom work for Jade to vanquish the roach.
Sadly, this was not the only instance of bugs scaring Jade on stream. She has faced single spiders, roaches, palmetto bugs, beetles, and broods of black spiders on stream.
#CamelCon
Jade frequently travels to conventions. One year, she was experimenting with smaller conventions and stumbled across a convention called “International FPS”, located in Orlando, Florida. After investigating the convention (only one week before participating), Jade learned that the “FPS” con did not have a single first person shooter game or tournament. It did, however, have a camel as a guest. His name was Sir Gus Jr. He had his own bus and would drink beer! The convention was also advertising a cigar lounge, horseshoe throwing, and a clown.
No one came to this con.
Not even Sir Gus Jr. (or the clown).
It is forever known as “Camel Con”.
Moobot
Jade set up a bot, Moobot. One day, she decided to draw Moobot on stream. Biggest. Mistake. Ever.
She was so confident in her ability to draw a cow, that she never thought to pull up a reference image. After being called out by chat for the abomination and for having no clue what a cow looked like, Jade just kept adding to him.

Eris! Close The Tabs!
In 2015 - 2016, Eris (a chat regular, AKA “Stream Waifu”) admitted that the reason she could not do anything on her laptop was because she had over 300 tabs open.
Since this day (and the 6+ hours it took her to close all the tabs), it has become a meme to ask people in chat to close their tabs or tell Jade to close her tabs when she is having stream difficulties.
Weed Plane
Jade was on her way to Anime Weekend Atlanta with her helper, Darcy, who was an eccentric personality. Their hotel was close to the airport on the south of Atlanta. There was a large wall of plants that looked like trees. Jade and Darcy were both confident the trees were trees, even after driving close to them. Until they saw a plane land on the top of what they thought was a hill and absolutely not a runway 10 feet from the road. In that moment, they realized the weeds were actually trees. It was forever known as “weed plane”.
Ever since this trip, Jade began drawing her convention adventures live. More coming soon!
Minty’s Luck
When Jade added stream gambling games for chat, Minty (ImportedGlue) somehow dominated everyone in the games. This was, of course, the bane of Wanwan’s existence in chat. To this day, no one can explain why Minty’s luck is so high.
Let’s just say that it’s best not to bet against her.

Florida Animals
When chat realized that Jade could not reliably draw even a cow from memory (see Moobot above), they began asking Jade to draw more animals from memory and, of course, Jade was confident that she could do it. She can’t.
When chat caught on that Jade could at least make the animals look reasonably close, they opted to start using scientific names, leaving Jade no choice but to guess at what the animal might look like.
Pictured here is a “Capybara” or, as requested by Trace, a “hydrochoerus hydrochaeris”, which Jade absolutely thought must be a sea creature because of “hydro” in the name.
Botero & Kuro
One night, while Jade was streaming, she learned about Fernando Botero, a Columbian artist who draws “primitivism” art that champions very… full characters, tiny eyes, and stocky cats and dogs that don’t quite look like animals. Chat demanded art in the Botero style and enjoys torturing Jade with it.
Jade always tries to distance herself from Botero art, refusing to sign the illustrations. But then Kuro comes along and donates to force Jade to sign each and every single one of them.
Lift Flap, Get Egg!
On one stream night, Jade was (for whatever reason) researching chicken coops. In her research, she discovered some that looked like miniature houses. Eris, upon seeing them, fell in love and wanted one for her own, to live in. No, she doesn’t own chickens.
Eris was perplexed, however, by the large boxes on the outside of the coops. These boxes had lids that could be lifted so the farmers could remove eggs. Eris fell even more in love and started proclaiming “lift flap, get egg!”. Jade subsequently drew her emotes. This is now used as an expression of excitement for receiving something.
Hydrate
Jade doesn’t drink water. Ever.
Chat makes her drink water, against her will, by using “everyone hydrate” chat commands.

Technology is hard.
All tech issues on stream are because Jade boomered it.
“Jade is Anime”
Jade wears glasses and has dark hair. She identifies as an anime character. Others also identify her as such. Sometimes they share pictures of her.
Wanwan,
Guardian of Chat
Before there were request streams, before there were gaming streams, before streams were regular things, there was Wanwan.
This salty mod was Jade’s first Twitch viewer and first mod. He’s brought many memorable ideas and requests to the stream, including plenty of Christopher Walken art, Sonic ships, Bees, and Nic Cage. Because he’s been in the community for so long, Wanwan has a large collection of memes associated with him.
Here are a few!
Wanwan’s a Good Boy - Because he is! But we like to tease him about it.
Taking out the Trash - Wanwan takes out the trash… nightly? Frequently? He always feels the need to announce it, so we tease him about it. If he’s away, he’s taking out the trash, definitely not eating, sleeping, or using the bathroom.
Loli / Flashing Loli Emote - Wanwan hates lolis.
Sniper Rifle - Because Wanwan is so protective of chat (and rightfully so!), we often joke that he has a sniper rifle ready to go whenever someone new joins, even if there’s no threat.
“Oniichan~~" - Wanwan also hates sister ships. It’s fun to call him “brother” in Japanese to troll him.
Wanwan Jr. - The “child” of Wanwan. It’s an actual account. Sometimes the child shows himself in chat. But who controls him? Is he actually Wanwan’s child?
Jade’s “Supposed” Neck Fetish
Jade made the mistake of commenting on how many artists throughout history, especially Greek and Roman artists focused on the neck line of their subject matter and that there was a sensual quality to the back of the neck.
Chat, of course, interpreted this to mean that Jade had a neck fetish. She doesn’t. Not that chat believes her.
She made the even bigger mistake of trying to defend herself from these accusations by pointing out that Hirohiko Araki, the manga artist who creates JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, pays special attention to drawing Rohan’s neck. This just made things worse.
To lean into the joke, hoping it would go away if she did, Jade created a fake Rohan background, making sure to only select images that featured Rohan’s neck. She set it as her background for stream, but weeks went by and no one commented on it. After a while, she brought it up and stated that she was confused why no one thought the background was weird.
Everyone thought the background was normal for Jade. She played herself.
